About

About You

You’re a badass even though you may not believe it just yet! No worries, we’ll get there. Maybe you have some nagging crap holding you back. You work hard on your life goals, but have also been dealing with anxiety, way too high expectations for yourself, low self-esteem, and some negative self-talk. You look at social media and immediately feel you’re not doing enough with your life. Maybe you’ve taken a look inward and realize your self-esteem needs some help. You’ve considered therapy before, but that has always sounded too drastic. (Hint: it’s not!)

It’s clear you work hard to continue improving yourself and your life, so why not give yourself permission for that extra boost with therapy? You’ve got big plans for your life and have the capability to achieve those. So just imagine how it would feel kicking that baggage holding you back to the curb! Let’s get this started!

How do you pick a therapist in New York?

Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, especially if you don’t even know what to look for in a psychotherapist and there are so many different options here in New York. Whether this is your first time or you’ve been in therapy before but are looking for a different approach, I want you to get a sense for what it is like to work with me.

About Me

The clients with whom I am most successful are ones who come ready to work hard and who understand that I don’t have a magic wand to make their problems disappear. I’m good, but I’m not that good! They appreciate my straight-shooting and active approach and that I make therapy comfortable.

Giving you personal attention is my priority whether it’s answering messages within a couple of hours, scheduling first sessions within a week, or remembering the smallest details about your life. I care deeply about my clients and it’s my honor to help you transform your life.

And When You’re Not Helping Others?

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy kayaking and hiking with my beloved husband. I’m an avid reader and enjoy adult coloring. Even though I can’t draw a straight line, coloring speaks to me and is a big stress reliever.

My beautiful English Mastiff, Maggie or Mags for short, was my official office mascot. Before she passed away, she was my constant companion and spent many hours in the office with me. She’s still there in spirit and will always be the best singer and co-pilot I know.
